NATANAEL LIMA
DIRECTOR & LEAD ARCHITECT
Natanael Lima holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at the University of Coimbra (FCTUC), earned in 2009. He is the Principal Architect at PRODESIGN ARCHITECTURE, where he leads the studio’s creative and strategic direction.
From 2017 to 2020, Natanael served as Executive Partner and Head of Studio at ATEPA & PARTNERS, coordinating key architectural projects in collaboration with international firms such as JACOBS, JESA, and ADVISION.
His experience also extends to the development of strategic initiatives for the African continent. Between 2017 and 2018, he coordinated Chinese teams at CGWIC and DRFT in Beijing, China, contributing to major infrastructure projects across Africa.
In 2016, as a consultant to the Presidency of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, he played a key role in urban planning initiatives, including the “New Bissau” project and the design of the UAAP (Support Unit for Agricul- ture and Fishing).
Natanael has worked on numerous projects in close partnership with renowned architect Pierre Goudiaby Atepa, including:
“New Bissau” – Guinea-Bissau
“The House of the Diaspora” – Dakar, Senegal Ministerial City Masterplan – Lomé, Togo (2016).
In addition to his architectural practice, he has contributed to academia as a guest speaker at architecture conferences and served as a jury member for final-year project evaluations at FCTUC’s Department of Architecture (DARQ) in 2014. He was also invited by the faculty to join an exclusive reflection group of six distinguished alumni to contribute to the External Evaluation Committee for MIARQ.
